Make A Change In Your Life

Can You Really Pack On Slabs Of Muscle After 40?

Yes, you can. And without wasting hours in the gym. Are you sick of people saying you’re past your prime? Well, I’m here to tell you that’s BS. We’re created the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program to help you build a strong, rock hard physique you can be proud of. Your most muscular days are coming to you real soon. Even if you’re on the best side of 40 or 50. And most gym gurus know nothing about our age group. You do NOT need 60 and 90 min monster workouts to grow muscle and get the powerful body you crave. More BS. Inside the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program, we’ll show you the proper way to train after 40.

“I’ve never liked wasting time getting to the gym. Then having to wait for weights, a bench or a machine. GTW makes fitness easy”

John James

“I’ve always been too busy to join a gym. With Grey Top I can train anywhere. It’s perfect for me.”

Derek Low

“I can’t thank GTW enough. I’ve been into weights all my life but struggled to make decent gains. Now, I’m in the best shape of my life. And, while doing much shorter workouts. Respect guys.”

David Howe

Do I have to radically change my life to get in shape?

That depends on a variety of factors like your current diet, level of fitness and weight. But for the average guy over 40, they can achieve a substantial improvement in their health and fitness with small changes in what they eat and how much they train. I specifically designed the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program with this in mind. Start out slowly, and build your levels of intensity. And at the same time implement changes in your diet over time. If you rush, you might quit before you experience the rewards of improved fitness and a healthier lifestyle!

I keep hearing "No pain, no gain" when I work out? What’s the deal?

I believe the ‘No pain, no gain’ myth was designed with good intentions to increase staying power, and to push trainees to improve rep by rep. Aches and pains are usually a sign you need to back off, slow down or stop completely. You need to assess your form because you could be performing an exercise incorrectly. Always ease into a new routine slowly. You can perform ‘air moves’ where you walk yourself through a new exercise with no weight, just to get a feel for the correct movements.

When I do your bodyweight training routines, do I still have to warm up?

Every workout should begin with a warm-up. Your warm-up should include at least 5 minutes of specific warm-up exercises such as butt-kicks, ins and outs, star-jumps, arm swings, lunges, light burpees and trunk rotations to help prevent injury.

I’m 51 soon, do your programs suit me? (I’ve never been a regular gym member).

The GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program is perfect for any guy between 40 and 60, and probably as high as 70, depending on the individual. And the beauty of GTW is that you don’t need to see the inside of a gym, ever.

Should I only focus on losing weight?

It’s a sad fact that the majority of guys over 40 need to lose weight. Many guys were very busy between 20 and 40 and life’s priorities took centre stage. But losing weight is not the only benefit of working out. If you are over 40 you probably need an all-round improvement in your flexibility, stamina, endurance and muscle mass. And that’s exactly how I designed the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program. Strive to balance your new workouts to cover all these areas.

I know I’m out of shape. But money is tight. Most programs require buying a lot of stuff.

You can do most GTW workouts without any equipment. But of course, if you can invest in a few pieces of equipment your life will be easier. For example, a chin-up bar is extremely valuable in bodyweight workouts. Plus, it would be useful if you have a set of dumbbells. These can often be bought 2nd hand.

I’m busy with my job, do I really have to work out 4 or 5 days a week?

I designed the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program for the busy guy over 40. The fact is, we can’t spend an hour or two in the gym even if we wanted. Plus our bodies generally need more time to recover. This is why I advise shorter, high-frequency workouts that can be done in 12 to 16 minutes from the comfort of your own home. So, there’s no need to waste time driving to a gym. And more time for your muscles to recover.

I hate gyms. Full of pretentious, loud people. Can I still benefit from your programs?

For sure. Every GTW workout routine can be done at home, in the garden, in your hotel room or in the park, while you enjoy Beethoven No. 5 or Motorhead. You do not need a gym. You never have to face annoying German techno music or sweaty equipment ever again.

About Us: Grey Top Warriors

At Grey Top Warriors, we believe age is just a number. Our mission is to help men over 40 reclaim their strength, vitality, and confidence through effective bodyweight training programs designed specifically for their changing bodies. Founded by fitness experts with decades of experience, our team understands the unique challenges faced by men as they age.

Our journey began when we noticed a significant gap in the fitness industry. Most training programs cater to younger individuals, often ignoring the specific needs of men in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond. That’s why we developed our specialized bodyweight training systems that allow you to build strength, improve mobility, and enhance overall health without the joint strain that often comes with traditional weightlifting.

About Us: We’re not just trainers—we’re men who have walked the same path you’re on now. We’ve experienced the frustration of declining energy, the challenge of maintaining muscle mass, and the struggle to find exercise programs that actually work for our changing bodies. Through years of research, personal experimentation, and professional application, we’ve created the Grey Top Warriors approach to fitness that has helped thousands of men transform their bodies and lives.

10 Benefits of Joining the Grey Top Warriors Bodyweight Training Program

1. Age-Appropriate Training Methodology

The Grey Top Warriors bodyweight training program was developed specifically for men over 40. Unlike generic fitness programs, everything about our approach—from exercise selection to recovery protocols—is designed with your body’s current needs in mind. Our team understands how the aging body responds to exercise and has created a system that works with your physiology, not against it.

2. Joint-Friendly Progression System

The Grey Top Warriors bodyweight training program uses a proprietary progression system that builds strength without putting excessive stress on your joints. This allows you to train consistently without the pain and inflammation often associated with traditional strength training methods. Our members frequently report significant improvements in joint comfort while still experiencing impressive strength gains.

3. Hormone Optimization Through Movement

As men age, hormonal changes can dramatically impact energy, strength, and body composition. Our bodyweight training protocols are specifically designed to optimize natural testosterone production through strategic movement patterns and training variables. Members of our program often report improved energy, better sleep, and enhanced recovery—all signs of improved hormonal balance.

4. Customizable to Any Fitness Level

Whether you’re a former athlete who’s taken some time off or someone who’s never had a consistent exercise routine, our bodyweight training program meets you where you are. With multiple progression paths and exercise variations, you’ll never feel like the program is too difficult or too easy—it grows with you as you develop strength and skill.

5. Community of Like-Minded Men

When you join the Grey Top Warriors bodyweight training program, you’re not just getting a workout plan—you’re becoming part of a community of men facing similar challenges and working toward similar goals. Our private community provides support, accountability, and camaraderie that makes the fitness journey more enjoyable and sustainable.

6. Convenience and Flexibility

Our bodyweight training approach removes the barriers that often prevent consistent exercise. No need for expensive gym memberships or bulky equipment—just your body and minimal space. This makes our program perfect for busy professionals, frequent travelers, or anyone who values convenience and flexibility in their fitness routine.

7. Comprehensive Mobility Integration

Unlike many fitness programs that treat mobility as an afterthought, the Grey Top Warriors bodyweight training system integrates mobility work directly into the training protocol. This ensures that as you build strength, you’re simultaneously improving your range of motion, posture, and movement quality—critical factors for long-term health and injury prevention.

8. Metabolic Conditioning for Fat Loss

Our specialized bodyweight training circuits are designed to elevate your metabolism for hours after your workout, making fat loss easier and more efficient. Members consistently report that our approach helps them achieve and maintain their ideal body composition without extreme dieting or excessive cardio.

9. Practical, Functional Strength Development

The strength you build through our bodyweight training program translates directly to improved performance in daily activities. Whether it’s playing with grandchildren, participating in recreational sports, or simply carrying groceries with ease, our members experience improvements in real-world strength that enhances their quality of life.

10. Sustainable Long-Term Approach

Perhaps most importantly, the Grey Top Warriors bodyweight training program is designed to be sustainable for decades, not just weeks or months. We focus on progressive, manageable improvements that compound over time, allowing you to continue training and improving well into your 60s, 70s, and beyond.

About Us: Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Who founded Grey Top Warriors, and what makes them qualified to help men over 40?

Grey Top Warriors was founded by a team of fitness professionals who collectively have over 50 years of experience in strength training, exercise physiology, and rehabilitation. What sets our team apart is that we’ve all personally experienced the challenges of maintaining fitness after 40. Our approach combines scientific research with practical experience to create bodyweight training programs that work specifically for men in this age group. About us: We’re not just coaches; we’re men who’ve successfully navigated the fitness challenges that come with aging and created a system to help others do the same.

Q2: How is your bodyweight training program different from others on the market?

Most bodyweight training programs are designed with younger individuals in mind and don’t account for the physiological changes that occur after 40. Our program differs in three key ways: 1) It prioritizes joint health through specific movement patterns and loading strategies, 2) It includes protocols specifically designed to optimize hormone production natural to men over 40, and 3) It provides multiple progression paths that allow for continued improvement without increasing injury risk. About us: We’ve spent years refining our approach to ensure it addresses the specific needs of men in this age group.

Q3: Do I need to have previous exercise experience to join the Grey Top Warriors program?

Absolutely not! Our bodyweight training program is designed to be accessible to men of all fitness levels. We provide detailed instructions, demonstration videos, and multiple exercise variations to ensure you can find the appropriate starting point. Many of our most successful members had little to no structured exercise experience before joining. About us: We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment where men of all fitness backgrounds can thrive.

Q4: I have some old injuries. Is bodyweight training still appropriate for me?

In many cases, bodyweight training is ideal for those with previous injuries because it allows for more controlled, natural movement patterns. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program. Once cleared, many members find that our approach to bodyweight training actually helps improve old injuries by building strength and mobility in a gentle, progressive manner. About us: We understand the concerns that come with exercise after injury and have designed our program with this in mind.

Q5: What kind of results can I expect from your bodyweight training program?

Most members notice improvements in energy and mobility within the first two weeks. By the one-month mark, strength gains and body composition changes typically become apparent. After three months of consistent training, members report significant improvements in overall fitness, with many achieving goals they previously thought impossible. Individual results vary based on factors like consistency, sleep quality, and nutrition, but our program is designed to produce sustainable, long-term improvements for all participants.

Q6: Do you provide nutrition guidance as part of the program?

Yes, we offer straightforward, practical nutrition guidelines specifically designed for men over 40. Our approach focuses on simple habits that support muscle maintenance, fat loss, and overall health without complicated meal plans or extreme restrictions. We understand that dramatic diet changes are rarely sustainable, so we emphasize manageable adjustments that work with your lifestyle. About us: We believe nutrition should enhance your life, not complicate it.

Q7: How much time do I need to commit to the bodyweight training program each week?

Our core program requires just three 30-45 minute sessions per week, making it accessible even for the busiest schedules. However, even a 5-10 minute workout will help you get started. We also provide optional mobility routines and supplemental workouts for those who want to do more. Many members find that the efficiency of our approach allows them to achieve better results in less time than their previous workout routines. About us: We respect your time and have designed our bodyweight training program to deliver maximum results with minimum time investment.

Q8: Is there ongoing support available after I join?

Absolutely! When you become part of the Grey Top Warriors community, you gain access to our private member forum where you can ask questions, share successes, and connect with other members. Our coaching team actively participates in these discussions, providing guidance and support throughout your journey. We also host regular Q&A sessions to address specific questions and challenges. About us: We believe in building relationships with our members and providing the support needed for long-term success.
