In this post I want to discuss the best way to keep fit and healthy after you hit the Big 4-0.
I’ll also show you a complete step-by-step guide to get ‘Lean and Muscular’ and also in the best shape of your life with proven workout plans.
If you want to cut down all that flabby beer belly holding you down, I’ll cover that too.
And I’m NOT going to tell you to cut out all your favourite foods and beer.
Yes, you CAN get in great shape, craft an awesome 6-pack, all while still drinking beer…
Of course, there are some pointers you’ll need to follow…
Sound good?
Let’s dive in…
What’s the best way to keep fit over 40?
Look, the truth is, you’ve been lied to and on multiple occasions.
You do NOT have to work out 6 or 7 days a week to get in shape. This is especially true if you’re over 40. While it’s VERY true we can get in great shape at our age…
The fact is, we need more time to recover…
Plus, we don’t have the time or the energy to work flat out for 90 minutes to two hours…
Even if we wanted to…
Agree?
The multi-billion-dollar fitness industry needs us all to believe we need to LIVE inside their gyms to get in shape.
This is plain untrue.
We don’t even need a gym membership to craft an awesome, rock-hard chiselled physique.
We can just as easily work out from the comfort of our own home…or garden…or even in the park…whatever you prefer.
Why not save the money you’d normally put into a gym membership and invest in a few pieces of equipment for your new ‘home gym’?
You’re never too old to craft your dream body
I’ve never met anyone who loves being fat, short of breath and full of aches and pains.
Does a person like that even exist?
On the flip side, while most guys might not want to be as big as Arnold or any other pro-bodybuilder in their prime, the vast majority would love to get ‘Lean and Muscular’ and sculpt a rock-hard chiselled physique.
Especially if it doesn’t take too much time.
At the very least, most guys would like to have boundless energy to enjoy life to the max…
…and be free of back pain, joint pain and feel good about themselves when they look in the mirror.
After all, having an ugly fat beer belly is NOT attractive. But unfortunately, if you love beer, then you will be crafting yourself a beer gut…if you don’t do anything about it.
Drinking Beer and a Chiseled Physique
Where the majority of so-called fitness experts go wrong is they deprive us of everything we love.
Sure, we want to get in shape, and get healthier…
But there are certain foods and drinks we actually LOVE!
So, why should we cut them out of our lives?
By emphasizing this too much, these so-called fitness experts are doomed to fail. And they often do.
Sure, for a while, their members follow their advice, and many see some good results…initially…
But over time, they fall back to their old ways, put on the weight they lost, and they’re back to square one.
Obviously, we need to use common sense here.
If your passion is cans of Coke, then I would say, “Get Rid of That Poison”!
Only kidding… well, sort of…
If you are necking two or three cans per day, you really are damaging your body, for a pretty ‘empty’ beverage…
But look, if Coke is your thing, and you really do love it…
And you seriously can’t stop drinking it…
Then you do NOT have to give it up.
But, if you’re on two cans a day…try dropping to only one can per day…
Your body and your health will thank you for it… big time!
Personally, my passion is beer! (Or is it poison?)
Since my gym closed because of Covid last December, I’ve only been focusing on bodyweight workouts in my garden…
And not for monster 90-minute sessions either…
I’ve probably been training on average 5 or 6 days a week, and not more than 20 minutes per session. Some as short as 8-10 minutes.
With exceptional results!
In that time, I’ve probably brewed 48 kegs of beer, twice a week, for the last six months.
That’s 24 weeks, and brewing twice a week, and each keg holds approx. 19 litres.
That’s a fair bit of beer.
Sometimes friends have been around to help, but most of the time it’s just been me and the wife.
And in those same six months, I’ve dropped down 3 belt notches, and 8.8kg (19.4 lbs) and I’m in the best shape since my Thai boxing days.
Have you hit 40 and looking for a workout plan that will transform your body and your life in a very short time, without requiring you to give up your favourite foods??
And with very little, or no exercise equipment…
