Make A Change In Your Life

Can You Really Pack On Slabs Of Muscle After 40?

Yes, you can. And without wasting hours in the gym. Are you sick of people saying you’re past your prime? Well, I’m here to tell you that’s BS. We’re created the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program to help you build a strong, rock hard physique you can be proud of. Your most muscular days are coming to you real soon. Even if you’re on the best side of 40 or 50. And most gym gurus know nothing about our age group. You do NOT need 60 and 90 min monster workouts to grow muscle and get the powerful body you crave. More BS. Inside the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program, we’ll show you the proper way to train after 40.

“I’ve never liked wasting time getting to the gym. Then having to wait for weights, a bench or a machine. GTW makes fitness easy”

John James

“I’ve always been too busy to join a gym. With Grey Top I can train anywhere. It’s perfect for me.”

Derek Low

“I can’t thank GTW enough. I’ve been into weights all my life but struggled to make decent gains. Now, I’m in the best shape of my life. And, while doing much shorter workouts. Respect guys.”

David Howe

Do I have to radically change my life to get in shape?

That depends on a variety of factors like your current diet, level of fitness and weight. But for the average guy over 40, they can achieve a substantial improvement in their health and fitness with small changes in what they eat and how much they train. I specifically designed the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program with this in mind. Start out slowly, and build your levels of intensity. And at the same time implement changes in your diet over time. If you rush, you might quit before you experience the rewards of improved fitness and a healthier lifestyle!

I keep hearing "No pain, no gain" when I work out? What’s the deal?

I believe the ‘No pain, no gain’ myth was designed with good intentions to increase staying power, and to push trainees to improve rep by rep. Aches and pains are usually a sign you need to back off, slow down or stop completely. You need to assess your form because you could be performing an exercise incorrectly. Always ease into a new routine slowly. You can perform ‘air moves’ where you walk yourself through a new exercise with no weight, just to get a feel for the correct movements.

When I do your bodyweight training routines, do I still have to warm up?

Every workout should begin with a warm-up. Your warm-up should include at least 5 minutes of specific warm-up exercises such as butt-kicks, ins and outs, star-jumps, arm swings, lunges, light burpees and trunk rotations to help prevent injury.

I’m 51 soon, do your programs suit me? (I’ve never been a regular gym member).

The GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program is perfect for any guy between 40 and 60, and probably as high as 70, depending on the individual. And the beauty of GTW is that you don’t need to see the inside of a gym, ever.

Should I only focus on losing weight?

It’s a sad fact that the majority of guys over 40 need to lose weight. Many guys were very busy between 20 and 40 and life’s priorities took centre stage. But losing weight is not the only benefit of working out. If you are over 40 you probably need an all-round improvement in your flexibility, stamina, endurance and muscle mass. And that’s exactly how I designed the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program. Strive to balance your new workouts to cover all these areas.

I know I’m out of shape. But money is tight. Most programs require buying a lot of stuff.

You can do most GTW workouts without any equipment. But of course, if you can invest in a few pieces of equipment your life will be easier. For example, a chin-up bar is extremely valuable in bodyweight workouts. Plus, it would be useful if you have a set of dumbbells. These can often be bought 2nd hand.

I’m busy with my job, do I really have to work out 4 or 5 days a week?

I designed the GTW Health and Fitness Lifestyle Program for the busy guy over 40. The fact is, we can’t spend an hour or two in the gym even if we wanted. Plus our bodies generally need more time to recover. This is why I advise shorter, high-frequency workouts that can be done in 12 to 16 minutes from the comfort of your own home. So, there’s no need to waste time driving to a gym. And more time for your muscles to recover.

I hate gyms. Full of pretentious, loud people. Can I still benefit from your programs?

For sure. Every GTW workout routine can be done at home, in the garden, in your hotel room or in the park, while you enjoy Beethoven No. 5 or Motorhead. You do not need a gym. You never have to face annoying German techno music every again.
